            <description><![CDATA[<br>Position Overview<br> 

<br>The Business and Employment Centre is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for the role of Dental Assistant. The dental assistant assists dentists and other providers of dental services with the actual delivery of the service. This includes preparing dental operatories, cleaning dental equipment and instruments, operating specialised dental equipment (such as X-ray machines) and performing basic dental procedures (such as suctioning and making up dental preparations).<br> 

<br>It also includes greeting patients, explaining what is being done to them, answering their questions, and helping to make them comfortable.<br> 

<br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>Preparing the room for incoming patients
&#9;<li>Performing maintenance procedures for equipment and instruments
&#9;<li>Keeping dental tools & equipment properly sorted
&#9;<li>Taking X-rays and other dental images
&#9;<li>Updating the computerised patient management system
&#9;<li>Taking patientsâ medical information
&#9;<li>Explaining dental procedures to patients
&#9;<li>Assisting dentists and other providers with their manual procedures
&#9;<li>Going through post-visit procedures with patients
</ul>

<br><strong>Required Qualifications and Experience</strong><br> 

<br>Education<br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>At least five CXC certificates at CSEC level, or 5 Oâlevels. This should include English.
</ul>

<br>Experience<br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>None required, but at least two years working in a team environment would be an asset.
</ul>

<br>Skills and Competencies<br> 

<ul>
&#9;<li>Must be computer literate, able to use basic programs such as email and Ms/word, and able to print and scan from a computer.
&#9;<li>Must be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.
&#9;<li>Must be extraverted and have a friendly personality.
&#9;<li>Must not be afraid of blood.
&#9;<li>Must be able to learn how to use specialised tools and equipment.
&#9;<li>Must be able to learn the basic dental terms and concepts
&#9;<li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

&#9;<li>Enter bills/invoices and pay-off same in Quick Books when needed

Under the supervision of the Fleet and Facilities Supervisor, the Pool Attendant & Lifeguard is responsible for the safety of visitors to our Pool facility. You will be required to explain the safety rules to guests as well as enforce policies on the safe use of the facilities. Additionally, you will play an instrumental role in maintaining orderliness by inspecting swimming pool areas, shower areas, restrooms, and pump rooms. You will maintain pool equipment, safety equipment, safety signage and monitor and record pool cleaning and maintenance information.<br>

Education and Experience: (Minimum Requirements)

&#9;<li>At least four (4) CXC subjects, including English
&#9;<li>Two (2) yearsâ experience in a similar position
&#9;<li>AED, First Aid and CPR training and/or certification

&#9;<li>Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in the facility, act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency.
&#9;<li>Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of guests.
&#9;<li>Recommend the removal of anyone from the pool area for continuous safety breaches or concerns about anyone who fails to meet the minimum requirements to use the facility.
&#9;<li>Responds to Emergencies by following SOP protocols by performing rescues, administering first-aid and CPR/O2/AED as needed. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services arrives.
&#9;<li>Identify and report any defects, hazards, equipment or processes that can negatively affect the operations.
&#9;<li>Complete accurately all incidents and accidents reports. Information must be communicated to the Fleet & Facilities Supervisor or HSSE Officer immediately.
&#9;<li>Test and adjust water chemistry; interpret gauges, flow meters, and monitoring equipment as trained.
&#9;<li>Maintain operational and recirculation efficiency of various filters and pool systems.
&#9;<li>Maintain pool chemicals and preventive maintenance logs for the pool.
&#9;<li>Minimize hazards to all participants as well as staff and faculty by understanding and utilizing the requirements of proper chemical storage, usage, and handling.
&#9;<li>Inspect the pool and report any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisor.
&#9;<li>Ensure to report any equipment failure, malfunction & breakdowns.
&#9;<li>Recommend the temporary closure of pool for any major security concern for safety reasons.
&#9;<li>Be willing to assist with repairs and maintenance of pool area and infrastructure.
&#9;<li>Assist with periodic inventory of resources and equipment.
&#9;<li>Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports (e.g.: maintenance logs, usage reports, sign in sheets).
