We are seeking a Machine Operator on behalf of one of our clients who will be primarily responsible for operating, maintaining and efficiently assisting in
all bindery machine operations for which he or she has been trained.

We are seeking a Machine Operator on behalf of one of our clients who will be primarily responsible for operating, maintaining and efficiently assisting in
all bindery machine operations for which he or she has been trained.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand all aspects of job tickets.
- Perform periodic safety checks on assigned equipment
- Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production process
- Ensure stocks of needed materials are ready and available to complete the assigned job
- Produce jobs within the allotted time, or less, without error.
- Monitor machines during every production run to ensure optimum output and troubleshoot problems during machine operation
- Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift
- Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
- Adhere to all SQF (Safe Quality Food) Protocols and Policies
- Perform any other related duties and instructions lawfully assigned for the proper and efficient running of the business.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions for efficient production
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and hand-eye co-ordination;
- Knowledge of HACCP or SQF Food Safety Principles
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices applicable in machine operations
- Good communication and Interpersonal Skills
- High School education at minimum required
- Trade Certification, NVQ or CVQ Qualification would be an asset
- Six months experience in a similar production environment
