Driver- Tour Bus Job Summary
We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Chauffeur/Driver on behalf of our Client. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and exceptional transportation services for guests, including airport transfers, staff transfers, and island tours. This role requires an individual who is passionate about customer service, knowledgeable about Barbados, and committed to creating memorable guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport guests to and from designated destinations.
  • Conduct island tours while providing engaging and informative commentary on Barbados' history, culture, and attractions.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a friendly, professional, and helpful attitude at all times.
  • Assist guests with luggage, open vehicle doors, and ensure a welcoming experience.
  • Arrive at scheduled pick-up locations within the required timeframes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned vehicles both inside and outside.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections, including checks of oil, fuel, coolant, and overall vehicle condition.
  • Report vehicle defects, maintenance concerns, or safety issues promptly.
  • Complete and submit all required reports, logs, and job-related documentation accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Maintain company standards regarding grooming, appearance, and uniform presentation.
  • Ensure guest safety and comfort throughout all journeys.
Requirements
  • Valid Public Service Vehicle (PSV) Driver's Licence.
  • Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Barbados, including key attractions, history, and points of interest.
  • Ability to engage and interact professionally with local and international guests.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and varying shifts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
BT License Training Opportunity: Candidates who do not currently hold a BT License may be considered and supported in obtaining the license. However, a valid BT License must be obtained before employment can commence.
