Kitchen Attendant/ Cook
The person suitable for the position of Kitchen Attendant/ Cook is an
individual who can work efficiently in a team, and independently, who
understands the need for maintaining high standards and delivering excellent
customer service. The ideal candidate is a vibrant individual, with a pleasant
personality and an aptitude to learn quickly. The individual must also be able
to positively contribute to overall customer experience and satisfaction.
Main responsibilities include:
The person suitable for the position of Kitchen Attendant/ Cook is an
individual who can work efficiently in a team, and independently, who
understands the need for maintaining high standards and delivering excellent
customer service. The ideal candidate is a vibrant individual, with a pleasant
personality and an aptitude to learn quickly. The individual must also be able
to positively contribute to overall customer experience and satisfaction.
Main responsibilities include:
- Prepare sandwiches and snacks, and cooked food items on the menu;
- Ensure that buffet areas are adequately stocked;
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day and work in accordance with monthly cleaning Rota;
- Ensure that service equipment used in the kitchen are kept clean and in good working condition;
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills;
- A very polite and pleasant personality with experience in customer service;
- Must be able to follow a recipe and be open to learning;
- Be able to work unsupervised;
- Must possess a certificate in Basic Cooking with a minimum of two years’ experience cooking in a restaurant environment;
- A certificate in HACCP or previous training in HACCP principles will be preferred.
- Must be able to multitask and possess strong time-management skills;
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, and work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
