Bartender
Job Description
Our client, an established tourism and adventure experience provider in Barbados, is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Bartender to prepare and serve beverages and provide a friendly, professional experience for guests.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Take orders, recommend drinks and provide prompt, friendly and professional service.
- Process cash and card payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain a clean and organised bar, including glassware, equipment and service areas.
- Monitor stock levels, replenish supplies and assist with stocktaking.
- Follow hygiene, safety and responsible alcohol service procedures.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Previous bartending experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel or similar environment.
- CXC/CSEC passes in English Language and Mathematics would be an asset.
- Knowledge of cocktail preparation, local rums and other beverages.
- Bartending or hospitality training would be an advantage.
- Good communication, customer service and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple orders accurately in a busy environment.
- A professional appearance, positive attitude and reliable approach to work.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
